Improved Auto-Complete and Dashboard Redesign

by colin on February 4, 2011

Last week we launched a new redesign of the ooBible website. Many of you gave us good feedback on what worked and what didn’t. We take your feedback seriously and have planned a series of changes coming up. Today we are releasing the following:

  • Auto-Complete Upgrade
The search box’s behavior more closely mimic Google’s auto-complete. Use the tab to complete the recommendation or select a word from the recommendation drop-down box.
  • Dashboard Redesign
The first dashboard we released last week was clunky. Chart legends were missing. You couldn’t tell what the X and Y axis really were. The bar graph that compared your reading habits to others was also not popular. So we decided to simplify things (simplification is always good). Rather than comparing your reading habits to others, we now let you set your own reading goals. This first version will be “simple” (yes, we sure do like simplicity). All you can set is how many pages you want to read on a weekly basis. A “page” is defined as either a chapter (John 3:16) or a section (“The Way, The Truth, The Light”).

More to come soon. Please do continue to send us your thoughts on the current design or anything else you fancy!

The ooBible team.
