iPhone/iPad App Login Crashes

by colin on February 24, 2012

Folks,

We’re experiencing a bug with logins and server connectivity for the ebible iPhone and iPad apps. A bug fix has been submitted to the Apple App store. Unfortunately Apple takes a few days to approve and release the new app version. In the meantime, if you’re experiencing  start-up issues, the following steps may alleviate your problem:

1. Remove the eBible app from your iPhone/iPad.

2. Re-install from the App store.

3. Start up the new app.

You may experience a freeze during the personalization process. If you do, double click on the iPhone/iPad home button (at the bottom of your iPhone/iPad). This brings up the task bar at the bottom showing various apps that are currently running. Tap and hold the eBible icon. You’ll see the (-) sign at the top left side of the icon. Tap it to remove the eBible app from memory.

4. Re-start the eBible app again.

We’re extremely sorry for this inconvenience. We’ll send another announcement out as soon as Apple approves the new version. Thank you for your patience and support.

The eBible team.

Thanks… I just tried this and it resolved the problem for me. I also work in software development and know “joys” of discovering and fixing a software bug. Really appreciate your work and this app!

Thanks Stace. The joys of a controlled app store. No instant bug fixes :(
